Jackie Richmond

Jackie has lived in the Woking area for most of her life.  She attended Fullbrook school and Woking College before going on to study law at Corpus Christi College, Oxford.  She qualified as a solicitor in the early 90's and was a high street practitioner specialising in conveyancing and family law.  In 1997 she moved into a career in tax and worked at Arthur Andersen and then Deloitte where she was a Director for a number of years.

Throughout this time she had a focus on contributing to the community and was a volunteer youth worker during this period.  She decided to leave the world of tax in 2011 and focus on investing in the local community.

Together with her husband Mark she was part of a team creating the Lighthouse - a project renovating a derelict building in Woking to serve poor and marginalised people, drawing on teams made up of local business people, the homeless and individuals in recovery.

As a result of her experience there her career has moved in 2 directions; firstly providing business and back office support for Fresh Start, and secondly, retraining in the science of positive psychology, facilitating leadership and team development using a science and evidence based approach that improves performance, resilience and enjoyment at work.

Jackie is also a governor at Bishop David Brown School and a Trustee of the Unity Schools Trust.
